Katie is a proud Noongar Yamatje woman from Whadjuk Noongar country (Perth), living and working on Wurundjeri country (Melbourne). With over 20 years of leadership, organisation development and commercial experience in various sectors, Katie believes in the power and responsibility of business to support social change. Her multi-sector expertise has seen her drive growth and performance at the organisational and board level.

Katie will join an Interactive Panel ‘Diversity, Equity & Inclusion’. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) have become critical pillars for organizational success and innovation. This panel session gathers DEI experts, HR professionals, and L&D leaders to discuss the latest strategies and best practices for fostering an inclusive culture that promotes equity and harnesses the diverse talents of all employees.

Eylem Shipley, Chief People Officer at Re.Group.

Eylem joined the Re.Group leadership team in 2022. She has more than 20 years of experience in people management with a strong strategic, change management and risk focus. Eylem’s human resources management experience spans across various industries including retail, media, entertainment, utilities, construction, and transport.

Eylem will join a panel ‘Chief People Officer Strategic Outlook’. In the dynamic landscape of people leadership, the role of Chief People Officers has evolved into a multifaceted position that demands strategic foresight and strong leadership. This panel session aims to delve into the evolving nature of people leadership, exploring the speakers’ leadership journeys, the current outlook, and the diverse skill sets required to excel in this role.

Deborah Howcroft, Vice President Organisation Development at Bluescope.

Deb is a senior business executive with experience in both the Australian and international markets. Deb has successfully worked in organisations that are complex and have required strong leadership and influence to achieve desired outcomes. Deb’s primary focus is on the management of change and development of people within businesses to achieve strategic objectives.

Michael Ghazi, Head of Organisational Learning, Talent and Inclusion, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners

Michael is a certified HR practitioner, leader and organisational coach with a diverse career in growth and change ready organisations, both nationally and globally and across various industries. He draws energy taking both a strategic and delivery focussed approach across the end-to-end HR value chain.

Deborah and Michael will join a panel on ‘Developing Leaders’. The development of effective leaders is crucial for organisational success and sustainability.
