Bs Free Hr Event Coming To Sydney

In 2025 and beyond, human resources teams will face an AI, RTO, culture, five-generation workforce, leadership and DEI reckoning. Against this backdrop, Sydney has landed a bold new HR event for forward-focused people leaders who aren’t afraid to think big and tread new pathways.

Bold Ideas in HR 2025, powered by Captivate Q, part of digital media giant Momentum Markets Network’s stable, comes to Sydney on 19 June 2025, uniting HR trailblazers with visionaries, futurists and out-of-industry disruptors.

“Bold Ideas in HR 2025 isn’t just another HR conference – it’s a wake-up call,” said program director Louisa Thomas.

It’s time to move away from ‘polite’ conversations, get uncomfortable and do the big, future-defining thinking that will actually move the dial for Australian businesses.

What’s on the menu?

Attendees will engage with meticulously curated voices designed to break them out of the day-to-day. First release speakers include:

  • Dr Monty Badami, anthropologist, founder and CEO of Habitus and professional shit-stirrer – on cancel culture, free speech and how to be a bit less of a d*ck.
  • Morag Eyles, chief people officer, WPP – on the great RTO debate.
  • Steve Glaveski, CEO, Collective Campus – on AI and whether Elon was right to fire 80 per cent of Twitter.
  • Kylie Fuller, founder, Fuller Potential – on DEI fatigue in the Trump-era.
  • Michelle O’Keeffe and Fraser Gordon, CEO and head of people, respectively, at engaging.io – on game-changing leadership synergy (and what to do when it’s not a love-fest)
  • Lili Wilkinson, award-winning speculative fiction author – on the people leaders of the future.

“We’re not trotting out the usual, safe speakers,” said Thomas.

“This is a unique opportunity for interesting and interested humans to be challenged to think, question and reimagine their function – then take a better version of it back to their business.”

Tickets are now live at Bold Ideas in HR 2025.
