Queensland-based learning and development content platform Go1 has acquired UK-based content curator Anders Pink.
Go1 said in a statement that this acquisition will allow for a better experience for users on its platform, as learners will be provided with automated recommendations for future learning, curating their experience and providing them with relevant skills.
Go1 chief executive officer Andrew Barnes commented on the announcement: “The acquisition accelerates our ability to deliver and discover the world’s best learning content for individuals, teams and organisations, helping them achieve their learning goals. Go1’s vision is to engage a billion learners, and this represents an important milestone on this journey.”
According to a Go1 statement, this deal is in consideration of the skills gap crisis that the World Economic Forum says is heavily influenced by the evolution of technology.
Michelle Hazelton, Anders Pink managing director, said: “Go1 and Anders Pink have a shared purpose to curate the world’s best learning content, in any learning platform, for the world’s leading organisations. Through the acquisition, we are gaining the ability to drive greater market impact at significant scale as part of Go1.”
Go1 had a successful year in 2022. The company has begun expansion into Europe, which was aided by the acquisition of Swiss-French learning platform company Coorpacademy. Go1 also doubled its customer base by signing partnerships with 65 organisations last year.
According to a statement, Go1 is currently valued at $2 billion and reached 10 million learners in 2022. The current goal of the company is to reach 1 billion people.
