John Della Bosca has been appointed as the new board chair at GROW Australia.
Mr Della Bosca is excited to join the organisation: “I am looking forward to the challenge of working within this great organisation which has such a strong heritage of improving the lives of so many people.”
GROW Australia, a community-based organisation supporting mental health, provides programs that promote personal development via mental, social, and spiritual support.
Mr Della Bosca will be bringing years of experience to the role, previously serving as a minister in a variety of positions in NSW government, such as minister for commerce, minister for education and training, minister for health, minister for ageing and disability, and special minister of state.
He was the campaign director for Every Australian Counts, which assisted in the founding of the NDIS.
Mr Della Bosca is also a consultant and director at Discourse Consulting, who have worked with the NDIS. He’s also a director at Coast and Country Primary Care, chair of Family Drug Support and director of Independent Community Living Australia.
In 2020, he was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia for his ongoing community support services.
